Anti-Covid requirements for entry to Spain for international travellers
There is some confusion among foreign visitors regarding the requirements concerning the Covid19 regulations to access Spain. On Malaga Airport Transfers try to help to provide more clarity on this.
Spain has opened its borders without restrictions due to COVID19 in the following cases:
– Be vaccinated against Covid
– Having already passed the disease
– Bring a negative result for antigen test less than 48 hours old until the time of the trip to Spain
– Not be included in the list of countries of origin banned by Spain such as India or Brazil
However, all travellers arriving in Spain will be subject to a health check. First of all, they must fill out a form that can be found on the website www.spth.gob.es or in the Spain Travel Health –SpTH– app.
Once the form has been filled in, a QR code will be generated that must be shown to the travel company also the health controls you’ll find once you arrive in Spain.
In-person health control: All passengers arriving in Spain as their final destination must undergo a health control at the first point of entry upon arrival. This control will include, at least, the temperature measurement, a documentary control and visual control on the state of the passenger.
Temperature control: Passengers arriving in Spain must undergo a temperature control, which will be carried out routinely to identify travellers with fever. A temperature equal to or greater than 37.5 ° C is established as the detection limit with non-contact thermometers.
Documentary control: The documentary control will be executed following the information provided by the passengers as a responsible declaration in the health control form through SpTH.
Vaccination certificate: Vaccination certificates issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin will be accepted as valid from 14 days after the date of administration of the last dose of the complete vaccination schedule.
Once inside Spain, the anti-Covid measures in Andalusia have not changed in recent days: mandatory use of a mask both indoors and outdoors, limited capacity on terraces and indoors, limited opening hours for bars, pubs and nightclubs, limited capacity for hotel interiors, limited capacity for events, social distance measures of 1.5 meters between people inside closed spaces, etc.
These anti-Covid measures are subject to the alarm level indicated for each population.
